8월 23일(현지시간, 우리나라시간 기준 금요일 밤)

- 뉴욕증시 : 다우 1.14%↑ S&P500 1.15%↑ 나스닥 1.47%↑

- 미 국채 10년물 금리 : 전거래일 오후 3시 기준보다  5.60bp 하락한 3.806%

- 달러화 : 엔화와 유로화에 약세. 달러지수는 0.846% 하락한 100.679

 

 

 

◎ 시황요약 

- 뉴욕증시의 3대 주가지수가 모두 큰 폭 상승. 제롬 파월 연방준비제도(Fed·연준) 의장이 잭슨홀 연설에서 "정책을 조정할 시간이 도래했다"고 직접 언급하면서 9월 금리 인하가 기정 사실화한 모습. 시장의 관심사는 금리 인하 속도로 이동. 금리 선물 시장의 금리 인하 전망치는 더 내려가며 내년 6월까지 200bp 인하를 보는 베팅이 32.1%까지 확대

- 기술주 주가도 급등. 엔비디아는 4.55%, 테슬라는 4.59%,  Arm홀딩스는 4.56%,  퀄컴과 AMD, 인텔도 2% 상승. 필라델피아반도체지수도 2.79% 급등

- 중소형주 위주로 구성된 러셀2000지수도 3.19% 급등하며 전반적인 강세

- 미국 국채가격은 급등. 10년물 금리가 5bp 수준, 2년물 금리가 9bp 수준으로 하락하며 단기물 위주로 큰 폭 하락

- 미국 달러화 가치는 작년 7월 중순 이후 최저치를 기록

- 뉴욕유가는 상승. 비둘기파적인 파월 의장 발언이 원유 매수 심리를 자극. 주말 사이 중동에서의 지정학적 긴장이 커진 점도 유가 추가상승 요인이 될 가능성

-  최근 유가 상승은 중동 이슈보다는 제롬 파월 연준의장의 금리 인하 시사 영향. 시장 분석가들은 현재 중동 이슈보다는 연준의 금리 경로 이슈로 움직이고 있으며 유가 수준이 우려할 만한 수준으로 높진 않은 것으로 평가

- 제 롬 파월 연방준비제도(Fed·연준) 의장이 "정책을 조정할 시간이 다가왔다"며 곧 금리 인하를 개시하겠다는 뜻을 공식화. 파월 의장은"인플레이션이 상당히 하락했다"며 "인플레이션이 2%를 향한 지속 가능한 경로를 향하고 있다는 자신감이 강해졌다"고 밝혀. 다만, 금리 인하의 폭과 시기에 대해서는 모호성을 유지하는 모습. 이는 예상 궤도에서 벗어나는 경제 지표가 튀어나올 경우 연준의 정책 대응 능력을 묶어두지 않기 위한 발언으로 해석

- 이스라엘과 레바논 친이란 무장세력 헤즈볼라가 대규모 미사일 공방전을 벌인 가운데 최악의 전면전은 일단 피하려는 기류가 관측

- 미국 천연가스 선물은 이번 주수요가 예상보다 줄어들 것이라는 전망에 따라 금요일에 약 2% 하락하며 2주 만에 최저치로 떨어짐

- 미국 중서부의 일부 작물을 위협할 수 있는 폭염을 모니터링하면서 주말을 앞두고 트레이더들이 숏 포지션을 커버하면서 금요일 대두는 상승한 반면 옥수수는 하락

- 밀 역시 값싼 흑해 수출이 계속되면서 가격이 하락
